About Olga S. Bachilo, MD
Introduction
Dr. Olga Bachilo is not only a board-certified plastic surgeon, but also a med spa owner, who cares about her patients’ satisfaction and well-being, even after their surgery was performed and they are happy with the outcome. Dr. Bachilo wants to continue caring for her patients, providing them with the most innovative and effective solutions in medical aesthetics. In addition, if a person is a candidate for noninvasive or minimally invasive treatment, she lets them know, but if surgery is their best option to achieve their desired look, she could make that recommendation, which will save patients time and money. This has been the thought process behind opening the med spa.
Each of her surgical patients get a complimentary one-year membership, because she cannot stress enough the importance of continued aftercare and maintenance. Dr. Bachilo wants her patients to understand that plastic surgery is not a “forever” solution. Time, lifestyle choices, and stress, diminish the results little by little. I work in an office. I sit most of the day. If I got a full tummy tuck, when can I go back to work? I would have someone that could drive me to and from the office. If I took a week off would that be enough time?

Thank you for your question. Individual recovery times will vary to some extent. Most patients who have an office job and don't need to perform any strenuous activity or be on their feet all day can usually return back to work within one week. Use of long acting injectable pain medication like Exparel during surgery can help enhance recovery. Also not having a drain can speed up return to work and allow for a more comfortable recovery. I would recommend that you meet with a board-certified plastic surgeons” to discuss the procedure and recovery expectations in more detail.
